Channel Events are proud and excited to be working in partnership with the Somerset & Exmoor Coast Festival to bring you the brand new Somerset Coast Challenge!

This fantastic trail running event will kick off the Somerset & Exmoor Coast Festival on the 28th September 2024.

Love long distance trail running and the coast?

Then you’ll love this. 100km or marathon distance options along the beautiful Somerset Coast.

The 100km option will start at the Hands Monument in Minehead after registering at The Adventure Centre and the marathon distance will start at Bridgwater Docks. Both distances will finish at the National Trust’s Brean Down Cafe after completing a lap of Brean Down. The event wouldn’t be complete without visiting iconic landmarks at the start and finish.

The event will be ‘self-navigated’, you’ll will be keeping the sea to your left through your journey and following the King Charles III Coast Path way markers. To assist you we will supply via downloads a route description, route maps and a GPX file.

This beautiful route will take you along the coast passing through many wonderful locations such as; Blue Anchor, Watchet, West Quantockshead waterfall, Kilve beach, Lilstock, Steart Marshes, Bridgwater Docks, Burnham on Sea and Brean Down.
